What is Microblading?
This permanent makeup technique is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows without anyone noticing. These hair-like strokes are created by implanting pigment into the skin using a blade consisting of several needles. The results are very natural, feathered hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. People suffering from hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, these can be conditions such as alopecia, trigonometrica or any other condition that causes hair loss. Also people who simply aren't happy with their eyebrows due to over plucking or aging. A full treatment consists of an Initial appointment and a 6-week follow up. Results and duration will vary on care, skin types, and other environmental factors. However they are said to last 1-2 years. Touch ups may be needed to in between to maintain the desired look.
What is the process like?
Often times clients are nervous about the process and whether or not they will have a say in the style or shape they get. Rest assured that we will walk you through the procedure step by step. Yes, you do have a say and you will see the full shape prior to beginning the procedure. We create partnerships with our clients and while we can offer our expert opinion, we will never push a client into a look they do not want.
The process begins with some customary paperwork. You will fill out a medical history sheet and a consent form. Once you are ready to begin we will take before pictures and have a brief consultation of what you are looking to get out of the procedure, desired look, color and shape. We will then clean the area and begin measuring and shaping. You will have plenty of opportunity to voice you opinion and together we get the desired look drawn on with a dark marking pencil. We are now ready to begin. We will then begin prepping and numbing the area and after a few minutes begin stroking. Typically about half way through you will be allowed to look at the progress and give input. Once we are 90% finished with the brows we will begin detail work and client is encouraged to give feedback. After the procedure is over we will take after pictures, apply numbing ointment and go over after care instructions and schedule the 6 week appointment.

Special Considerations
Basic rule of permanent makeup is: Pigment + Skin tone + Exfoliation = Final result. The Pigment implanted will heal under layers of skin. There can be no guarantees made regarding how pigment is going to heal under the skin. Based off of our knowledge about skin tone, and color theory every effort is made to predict how your body will heal with the pigment. That will help us choose the correct color combination as a result. Every body has unique skin tones and this is not an exact science but an art. Colors may heal slightly Cooler/Warmer than desired and that emphasizes the importance of the follow up as adjustments can be made at that time.
That being said, there are other environmental factors that can affect both color outcome and retention of the strokes. Certain medical conditions and their associated prescription medications may interfere with the normal healing of these pigments. If you have any questions about which medical conditions are more likely to create less than desirable results please call us and request a phone consultation prior to booking your appointment.
